OncoLens Adds Features to Help Cancer Centers Achieve NAPRC Accreditation

OncoLens, a pioneer in tumor board and cancer treatment planning software solutions, recently announced the availability of its new workflow, data collection, and reporting features that help cancer centers more easily achieve the Commission on Cancer’s (CoC) National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) standards.
According to the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States, with an estimated 145,600 new cases in 2019.
Achieving NAPRC accreditation is becoming increasingly urgent for cancer centers that are looking to attract these patients. However, cancer centers have struggled to document and track progress towards NAPRC accreditation as there have been no standardized tools available to understand what needs to be collected. Information also resides in disparate sources across separate offices and medical records systems. WellStar Health System, the largest health system in Georgia, is currently using the OncoLens solution to automate many of the manual processes it used to follow to prepare for and conduct tumor board conferences and is using the solution to attain NAPRC accreditation in its facilities.
