Vice President of Marketing Position Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a leader that will hold ultimate responsibility for the OncoLens’ marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the company. 

This position requires someone that can plan strategically and fulfil tactically in order to improve our overall marketing results. The ideal candidate will have years of experience leading a team in high-growth software companies. We need you to bring your experience and expertise to OncoLens and help us expand our digital footprint, brand awareness, and customer base. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, technical prowess, digital marketing knowledge and project management skills. We are looking for someone with a thirst to do something different every day, someone that has experience in a wide array of marketing tactics and understands the needs of a fast-growing tech startup! 

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead the development and delivery of omni-channel marketing and communications strategies, goals and objectives to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives in both the life science and provider facing markets 
  • Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy – including campaigns, events, digital marketing, SEO, conferences, webinars and PR 
  • Develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms 
  • Spearhead’s efforts to increase SEO visibility 
  • Work closely with sales, development, and customer success teams 
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice” 
  • Guide the activities of contracted external resources including Graphics and/or Content 
  • Contribute to the overall growth of the company 
  • Develop, plan, and manage social media postings and ads and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition 
  • Conduct market research 
  • Understand the latest in marketing trends and best practices 
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends 
  • Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions 
  • Determine KPIs for marketing department 
  • Track KPIs on a regular basis and present reports for board meetings and internal discussions 
  • Develop and monitor the company’s marketing budget 
  • Strong familiarity with Pardot, SFDC, and Google Analytics 
  • This position requires 25% travel 

What You Should Have

Qualities the ideal candidate will have: 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team 
  • Experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, SEO, etc.) 
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g., social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels 
  • The ability to think both analytically and strategically 
  • A self-starter attitude, someone who gets it done, delegates wisely, and is satisfying to work with 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities 
  • A desire to jump head-first into startup life 

Requirements of the role 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing or related field 
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles 
  • Detailed knowledge of various aspects of marketing, including SEO best practices, SEM / paid marketing channels, increasing brand awareness, product marketing, partnerships, affiliates and other marketing channels 
  • Healthcare industry experience required. Marketing to life science companies strongly preferred. 
  • Well-versed in using SEO and social media strategies to attract business 
  • 7+ years of proven experience leading marketing teams 
  • 5+ years experience working at software companies  
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original branding opportunities 
  • Ability to present concepts in new ways and from new perspectives 
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis and communicating the results of the analysis. 
  • Proficient in MS Office and business software (e.g. CRM)
