Software Development Engineer in Test Position Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test who is a self-starter and energized by working on a dynamic team. This role reports to the Engineering Manager, Operations at our offices at ATDC in Atlanta, GA.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and implement test cases derived from both business and technical requirements
  • Document regression testing plans
  • Build automated UI and API tests using modern testing patterns and frameworks
  • Champion and evolve our automated test strategy tracking industry best practices and tools
  • Communicate and document complex technical designs and requirements to all levels
  • Track and report on quality goals and metrics to the engineering team and leadership
  • Work closely with engineers to investigate issues and design resilient and testable systems

What You Should Have

What you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience. Self-taught engineers are welcome
  • Been developing automated testing solutions professionally for 3+ years
  • Experience in multiple unit/integration and E2E frameworks such as Jest, Cypress and Selenium (we use Cypress)
  • Deep understanding of REST APIs and cloud architecture concepts
  • Proficient with relational databases and migration and data testing via SQL
  • Experience with multiple languages such as C#, JavaScript and TypeScript
  • A solid command of distributed source control systems such as Git
  • Experience with load-testing frameworks and strategies
