OncoLens is seeking an exceptional sales professional to drive sales within the life sciences segment. We are looking for an aggressive hunter that has a proven track record of selling to brand, marketing, analytics, and research teams within pharma, biotech, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate must possess a solid track record of successfully selling to medium to large pharmaceutical clients. The position entails managing complex sales by developing key relationships with key groups within oncology.

Senior Manager / Director, Business Development – Life Sciences Position Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new leads and relationships into target Lifescience companies.
  • Utilize a consultative, problem-solving sales approach through the process
  • Successful sales and management of complex corporate customer relationships.
  • Managing relationships from close of sale to successful installation and implementation of product.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
  • Developing sales proposals, sales presentations, demonstrations, and sales promotions to capture new business.
  • Understanding the current trends and issues likely to impact the market.
  • Advising the senior management team on sales directions, competitors and market trends.
  • Updating and maintaining sales contacts and activity in Salesforce.com.

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area or equivalent in experience 
  • Proven complex solution and consultative sales experience 
  • Natural curiosity & unstructured problem solving skills 
  • Ability to develop and shape hypotheses on key client issues 
  • Extensive experience with structuring client deliverables in PowerPoint, including an expert ability to “tell the story” with supporting analysis in a clear and effective manner 
  • This is a new market segment for the company and the candidate should have the ability to hustle, be resourceful and achieve results in a limited resource environment. 
  • Proven track record of growing sales in an early/medium stage company 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage through long-term, complex sales cycles (9 – 12 months) 
  • Must be able to work independently and in an autonomous work environment 
  • Must have excellent communication skills 
  • Experience with Salesforce.com required 
  • Knowledge and existing relationships within pharma required 
  • Prior experience in the hospital industry a plus 
  • A passion for healthcare, life sciences, data, analytics, and technology
