We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who is a self-starter and energized by working on a dynamic team. This role reports to the Director of DevOps.
What you’ll do:
Owning the infrastructure OncoLens relies on to deliver cutting-edge cancer care
Work with engineering leadership to design, build, and operate OncoLens’s foundational software services and platforms
Migrating existing code and building new microservices in .NET 6 on Docker in Kubernetes
Enhancing the performance, scalability, and maintainability of our services and Kubernetes cluster
Provide guidance, code reviews and peer design sessions as we grow our system
Collaborating with stakeholders to build scalable and reliable solutions for both the company and customers
Investigating and troubleshooting hard and complex problems
Provide technical leadership to build our distributed and microservice-based architecture
Improving the visibility, monitoring, and documentation of our production systems
Participate in on-call responsibilities. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant.
Build and operate a scalable data ingestion pipeline
Establish and contribute to the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization
Getting your work out to real customers using the OncoLens platform every single day
A bachelor’s degree is preferred in computer science, engineering or related field, however self-taught engineers are welcome with equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
Been developing professionally for 5+ years
High sense of urgency – you’re a self-starter, highly responsive, and able to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Infrastructure as Code experience with cloud-based computing in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud utilizing tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm
Working knowledge of relational (Postgres, MySQL) and non-relational databases (K:V stores, document databases)
Strong scripting skills (Python, bash, Node, Go, etc)
A solid command of distributed source control systems such as Git
Experience with container-based software toolchains, including Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with multiple languages and frameworks such as .NET, Python, Java/JVM, TypeScript and Node
Knowledge of monitoring, graphing, and logging tools (Datadog, Grafana, etc)
An understanding of how to integrate with 3rd party systems such as via APIs or webhooks
